ABOUT THE IMAGE AT THE TOP OF THIS PAGE

The Turkish Van is a naturally occurring breed of domestic cat that originated in the mountains of Turkey. The breed is rare, and is distinguished by its coat color which is restricted to the head and the tail, while the rest of the cat is white. The cat coat pattern known as “van” in other breeds is named after the Turkish Van.
