The ShowCatsOnline.com Mission Statement

Every organization has a mission, a purpose, a reason for being.... and ShowCatsOnline is no different.

A good mission statement explains why an organization was first created... what it what it hopes to achieve in the future. The mission statement articulates the organization's essential nature, its values, and its work.

When the idea of an online magazine was first conceived, the people involved in creating ShowCatsOnline.com felt it important to draft a mission statement. And we want to share it with you.

Our hopes and goals for the future are summarized in:

The ShowCatsOnline.com's Mission Statement

to supply information, support and encouragement on various subjects
dealing with the breeding and showing of all breeds of pedigreed cats

to bring to the attention of our members the latest developments available
in medical care, breeding, grooming and the showing of our beloved cats
to encourage breeders and exhibitors of all pedigreed cats to grow,
develop and learn more about our wonderful and challenging hobby
To give cat fanciers from all associations a central place from which
information can flow freely, where friendships can blossom,
and from where we can gain more encouragement and confidence,
where everyone learns something new, and where we can
feel comfortable sharing new ideas and asking questions
To provide a long term, self-supporting, self-governing, Internet based environment
in which we can each learn, teach, experience, research, share
and discuss thoughts and ideas and the challenges we all share as cat breeders
to constantly strive to improve and to support one another in our endeavors,
making our mutual hobby a more pleasant and rewarding experience.

To accomplish these ends through
friendship, encouragement and open mindedness
to take into account that the readers of, and contributors to ShowCatsOnline.com
are from all walks of life and from all corners of the world.
What may be the norm for one member could be insulting or offensive to another
Although we reserve the right to make decisions and/or changes
for the betterment of this site, the staff of ShowCatsOnline.com
view our roles as facilitators, not as censors.
